Your pet’s diet is among the most important aspects of their lifelong care. At Overland Veterinary Clinic, cat & dog nutrition is part of the foundation of our ongoing veterinary services. We provide a diagnostic testing process called NutriScan testing, which uses a saliva sample to determine if your pet has any dietary intolerances.

A healthy, balanced diet is critical for each pet’s well-being. Our hospital owner and veterinarian, Dr. Schwartz, has studied pet food science at a baccalaureate and doctorate level, giving him the skills and insight to provide exceptional dietary recommendations for his patients. He takes his interest in pet nutrition to the next level by touring pet food facilities to examine ingredients and quality control before making recommendations.

Alternative Dietary Options

Dr. Schwartz is a huge advocate of alternative dietary options, strongly encouraging home-prepared foods and raw diets, whenever possible. He prefers to meet with his clients one-on-one to make determinations about each pet’s needs. We recommend scheduling a cat or dog nutrition consultation with Dr. Schwartz to learn more about your pet’s nutrition.
